Danielle is a 3rd year doctoral student in the Government department studying International Relations (IR) and International Law (IL). Travel, global citizenship, and storytelling for social change are a huge part of her life as she is a first-generation American born in Washington, DC to Nigerian parents, and grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Kim Overby is a Visiting Professor of the Practice in the Department of Science and Technology.  As an academic physician and medical ethicist, her primary role at Cornell has been teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.

Liam is a 2nd year PhD student in the Center for Applied Mathematics (CAM). His research is in probability, namely stochastic analysis applied to quantum field theories. Liam completed his undergrad at Swarthmore College, and afterwards worked at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab for three years.

Maria Park is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art. Her work examines ways that technology shapes our perception and participation in the world. Ranging from paintings to site-specific installations, interdisciplinary collaborations and public art commissions, her work explores human presence and agency within a media-reliant society.

Professor Kerry Shaw is an evolutionary biologist in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior and the College of Arts and Sciences. She studies the nature and origin of species, focusing on genetics of behavior and phylogenies of closely related species that provide information about the behavioral changes that diverge early in speciation. Dr.

Bob Sternberg is professor of Psychology in the School of Human Ecology at Cornell. Bob did his BA at Yale, his PhD at Stanford, and then spent 30 years as a professor of psychology and education at Yale. He then worked as a university administrator for 8 years in 3 different universities.  

Wendy Williams has been a professor at Cornell for 26 years, studying real-world intelligence (and how to increase it), the culture of academic institutions (and how they are changing), and women’s and girls’ experiences and career trajectories in science. She is especially interested in helping underrepresented youth pursue science careers.

Carlton Williams is a movement lawyer and organizer dedicated to building and supporting liberation struggles. Mr. Williams has practiced criminal and civil rights law in Massachusetts for many years. He began his legal career as a criminal attorney with the Roxbury Defenders and later served as a racial justice attorney with a civil liberties non-profit. Mr.

Emily (she/her/hers) is from Brooklyn, NY, and is a second-year JD/MBA candidate at Cornell’s law and business schools. Before starting her joint degree, she earned her bachelors in Industrial & Labor Relations at Cornell’s ILR School.
