As a filmmaker, Austin co-wrote the script for Kill Your Darlings (Sony Pictures Classics), starring Daniel Radcliffe and Dane DeHaan, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and won the International Days Prize at the Venice Film Festival.

Sarah is the Director of our Campus Sustainability Office with a vision for Cornell as a carbon-neutral living laboratory for sustainability innovation. Sarah has spent her career in the field of environmental compliance and sustainability in higher education. Her educational background is in environmental science and policy.

Helen L. Carr Professor of Developmental Psychology

Steve Ceci received his doctorate in developmental psychology from the University of Exeter, England, where he studied children’s recollections—a topic that would later be expanded to include children’s eyewitness testimony in criminal cases.

Utilities Reliability and Energy Transition Program Manager

Stacey is managing “BIG RED”—the Utilities Reliability and Energy Transition program whose goal is to move Cornell’s Climate Commitment forward by transiting Cornell’s District Energy system away from fossil fuels.  Cornell’s District Energy system uses central plants to generate heat, cooling and electricity which is distributed across the campus.

Senior Lecturer, Romance Studies

Irene Eibenstein-Alvisi is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Romance Studies where she teaches writing. Her expertise is in Medieval and Renaissance Italian literature with an emphasis on women writers and gender issues.

Assistant Professor and Croll Sesquicentennial Fellow Civil and Environmental Engineering

Dr. Greeshma Gadikota is an Assistant Professor and Croll Sesquicentennial Fellow in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering with a field appointment in the Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University. Dr. Gadikota directs the Sustainable Energy and Resource Recovery Group.

Assistant Professor, Physics

Natasha Holmes received her PhD in physics from the University of British Columbia, where she began her research in physics education. She studies teaching and learning in college physics courses, particularly instructional labs. She is particularly fascinated by two questions: What do students really get out of college physics courses (especially labs)?

Ronald P. Lynch Dean, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences

Benjamin Z. Houlton is the Ronald P. Lynch Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and a Cornell University professor in the Departments of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology as well as Global Development. An accomplished international scientist, his research interests include global ecosystem processes, climate change solutions, and agricultural sustainability.
