Professor Claudia Fischbach-Teschl is a biomedical engineer and Director of the Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering in the Duffield College of Engineering. Her lab utilizes engineering tools and strategies to gain a better understanding of how tumor-microenvironment interactions regulate cancer development, progression, and therapy resistance with a focus on cell-extracellular matrix interactions. For her work, she routinely collaborates with researchers from all parts of Cornell including its campuses in New York City. In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, skiing, and good food! She lives in Ithaca with her family and Benny, the cat.
