Sarah is the Director of our Campus Sustainability Office with a vision for Cornell as a carbon-neutral living laboratory for sustainability innovation. Sarah has spent her career in the field of environmental compliance and sustainability in higher education. Her educational background is in environmental science and policy. As part of her current role, she is a leader for Cornell’s renewable energy supply projects, and is active in NY state energy policy. Her team leads employee and student engagement programs as well as advocating for deep systems change and capacity building for sustainability across the university.  She is an avid horse rider with two horses, three dogs and a cat at home, and two children in college.
