Doug McKee
Senior Lecturer, Economics

Doug McKee is a senior lecturer in Economics where he teaches a variety of big intermediate level courses and runs the department’s Active Learning Initiative (https://as.cornell.edu/education-innovation#ALI). While trained as a development economist and a labor economist, he’s currently writing articles about how best to teach economics. These include studies of what determines how much students remember long after a course is over and estimating the causal effect of attendance at office hours. Doug also cohosts the Teach Better Podcast (http://teachbetter.co/podcast/) and when he’s not doing something teaching-related, he’s either reading, running, cycling, swimming, or just hanging out with his amazing wife and two daughters.
