Teddy Wang

Undergraduate Resident Fellow

Teddy is a junior in the College of Arts & Sciences, inspired by the words at Goldwin Smith Hall: “Genuine education is not a commodity, it is the awakening of a human being.” He studies Economics and Information Science, driven by a passion for uncovering society’s hidden patterns and connections.

You’ll often find Teddy with his guitar in hand or out with his camera, chasing the little moments that make Ithaca special—the soft hills at sunset, the quiet of early mornings, and the colors that linger after the rain.

He loves getting lost in books, uncovering fresh ideas, and immersing himself in different cultures. His curiosity stretches in all directions, from cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to global financial markets, public policy, and the wonder of how humans bond with one another.

When he’s not deep in study, Teddy enjoys lifting weights at the gym, sampling cheeses from every corner of the world, or just chilling on the slope with his guitar when the weather is kind. He’s also a big fan of loose leaf tea and matcha—ask him about Chinese tea sometime, and you’ll probably end up sharing a cup, a story, and maybe even a song!
