William Keeton House

William Keeton House opened in August 2008 as the fourth of five West Campus Houses created through Cornell’s Residential Initiative. Named in honor of beloved Cornell faculty member William T. Keeton (1933–1980), the House continues his legacy of curiosity and connection.
Rooted in its motto—Conscientia (consciousness, awareness, and knowledge), Colligere (to assemble, to collect), and Cognoscere (to learn, discover, and get to know)—Keeton House fosters a community where students come together to learn from one another, reflect on their experiences, and grow both individually and collectively. It is a place where intellectual exploration, collaboration, and awareness shape not only the residential environment but also the relationships that make Keeton a true home on West Campus.
