Ethan Stephenson is the Director of Faculty Living-Learning Programs, supporting faculty engagement on North and West Campus through residential faculty, fellows, and learning initiatives in these spaces. He started at Cornell as the first Assistant Dean of Keeton House, one of his favorite jobs of all time.

"I love Keeton House.  I started at Cornell as the first Assistant Dean of Keeton House, one of my favorite jobs of all time.  That is saying a lot, considering I feel like I have tried so many different ones in my life including working with youth at a non-profit, consulting on mostly federal programs, teaching middle and high school, creating and running a summer-bridge program for high school students, and attending graduate school far too many times.

As part of my wandering through life, I have lived in Belgium, England, Sweden, D.C., Boston, Houston, Vermont, and Ann Arbor.  Feel free to ask me about when I jumped ship while crewing a sailboat to Greenland, traded jeans on the black market in the Soviet Union or biked from Connecticut to Vermont after completing my final exam in college.   

My day job is the director of faculty living-learning programs, an inscrutable title that my mom still cannot understand.  I help support the faculty engagement on North and West Campus through the residential faculty (faculty-in-residence on North Campus and House Professor Deans on West Campus), fellows, and learning initiatives in these spaces.  I am also a well-being coach.  In my spare time, I love to bake, cook, ride my bike, mess around with my ukulele, and go on walks with my Australian Shepard, Frankie. I am also the extremely proud parent of two wonderful (mostly) grown children.  Feel free to invite me to eat at your table, if you feel so inclined."
