Graduate Resident Fellow

Hi! My name is Camron and I am a first year GRF. I am currently a third year PhD student in the Sociology department and my research interests are race, gender, and identity construction. Before coming to Cornell, I was a Resident Assistant for two years so I love working with undergraduate students. Outside of school, I enjoy running, documentaries, board games, and crafts!

Ryan (he/him) is from Pennsylvania, where he spent his entire childhood. When he wasn't working, he loved taking his dog for long walks, going on boat rides, and swimming. Although this isn't his first year living at Bethe, Ryan is excited to return as a URF and continue contributing to the Bethe community.

Associate Professor, Neurobiology and Behavior

Jesse Goldberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior. His research lab studies how birds learn to sing, how parrots socialize, and how mice can achieve high levels of motor coordination. He is fascinated by intersections between neuroscience and artificial intelligence and is a Co-Director of Cornell's exciting AI initiative.

Associate Professor, Near Eastern Studies

Seema Golestaneh is an Associate Professor of Near Eastern Studies. Her work explores contemporary Islamic thought in the world today, with a special focus on Persian speaking communities.  Trained as an anthropologist, Prof. Golestaneh's research draws on interviews with everyday people to better understand the role that religion plays in their lives.

Assistant Professor; CALS Graduate Diversity and Inclusion Lead

Swanne Gordon is a behavioral and evolutionary ecologist currently at Cornell University as an Assistant Professor in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department. Her group studies the evolution and maintenance of trait diversity in our ever-changing world, mainly in fish and Lepidoptera (but they also branch into other taxa).

Prof. Hayes and his group specialize in the geological and physical processes that shape planetary surface and atmospheres, including the identification and characterization of potentially habitable environments across the solar system. Alex’s flight project experience includes Cassini, MER, MSL, Mars2020, and Europa Clipper.

Jamie Hom (she/hers) works in Alumni Affairs & Development as an Associate Director of Student Programs on the Student and Young Alumni team. Her interest focuses on leadership development, well-being, and positive psychology for young adults in the higher education setting.

Anthony is a PhD candidate in Materials Science and Engineering. His research uses high-powered lasers to grow novel crystals for applications in electronics and quantum computing. Outside the lab, he enjoys reading fantasy novels and plotting his next escape to the Rocky Mountains.

Nori Jacoby is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Cornell University. His research focuses on the internal representations that support and shape our sensory and cognitive abilities, and on how those representations are themselves determined by both nature and nurture.

Hai Ri Jeon is a Ph.D. candidate in Science and Technology Sciences. Although she has called many places “a” home—Princeton, New York City, Oxford, and now Ithaca—her heart will always belong to Seoul, South Korea.
