Naomi Pieczulewski
Graduate Resident Fellow
Naomi Pieczulewski is a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science and Engineering. At Cornell, she works across multiple engineering departments to develop high-power electronics and quantum computing qubits. She can be spotted either in Duffield hall investigating ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors or superconducting materials using scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) or holed up in Physical sciences building writing papers. Outside of studies, Naomi plays tennis with the Reserve team and is a member of LATTICE, the materials science and engineering graduate student association. While Naomi enjoys the nature and quiet of Ithaca, she loves to travel and discover new ideas.
Naomi grew up in both San Jose, California and Kyoto, Japan. She tries to return to Japan yearly to visit family and indulge in great food. Naomi recieved her Bachelors in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) and Integrated Science from Northwestern University. At Northwestern, she led MakerGirl, a non-profit focused on science and engineering education in elementary and middle school girls through 3D printing.
Naomi is excited to engage with the Bethe community this year!
