Anyerys is a current developmental biology Ph.D. student in the department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. She earned her Biology BSc from Union College in upstate New York. Her previous work focused on how organs gained their unique shapes and how they remain conserved over evolutionary time. At Cornell, she is studying reproductive biology under Mariana Wolfner using Drosophila Melanogaster as a model organism. She is a member of the Cornell Bee Club and Knitting Club. In her free time, she likes to try new foods in Ithaca, go salsa dancing at the Big Red Barn, and attend her garden at the Ithaca Community Garden. Anyerys is super excited to join the Flora Rose house as a graduate resident fellow!
