Fiber scientist Margaret Frey creates nanofibers that are hundreds of times thinner than a human hair, and studies the way these fibers can remove pathogens from air and water, aid textile biodegradation, and offer cooling on a warming planet.

Ryan has served as the Vice President for Student & Campus Life at Cornell University since August 2015.

Judge Scott A. Miller is a New York State trial court judge who presides over felony jury trials and Family Court cases involving custody, child neglect, and abuse. He was elected in 2019 to a countywide ten-year term after serving seven years as Ithaca City Court Judge.

Dr. Mark Milstein is Clinical Professor of Management at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and Faculty Director of the SC Johnson College of Business’ Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise.

Mary George Opperman is president of The Opperman Consulting Group, which provides organizational assessments, individual coaching and advising, and a variety of other HR services and assistance.  Mary serves as a thought partner to leaders as they plan and execute their priorities.

Shirley Samuels was the first House Professor-Dean of Flora Rose House. She is currently the chair of the department of Literatures in English. She recently edited a book on race and visuality in the nineteenth-century United States and is now writing a book on the American Civil War.

Daniel R. Schwarz is Frederic J. Whiton Professor of English Literature and Stephen H. Weiss Presidential Fellow at Cornell University, where he has taught since 1968. He is a renowned teacher, scholar, and public intellectual. In 1998 he received Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences Russell award for distinguished teaching, and the Weiss title speaks to his teaching prowess.

Bryan L. Sykes is an Associate Professor in the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy and the Department of Sociology at Cornell University. His research focuses on demography, mass incarceration, criminology/deviance, population health, and research methodology.

Dr. Michelle Van-Ess Grant serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Students for the Centers for Student Equity, Empowerment, and Belonging (The Centers) at Cornell University. In this role, she provides strategic leadership for a dynamic team that cultivates co-curricular, identity-based programs, resources, and community spaces.
