David and Kathleen Ryan Professor of Humanities
Caroline Levine teaches in the Department of Literatures in English. These days she spends most of her time thinking about climate change and climate justice and working for meaningful change. She grew up in Syracuse, has two kids and one very funny dog named Rosa Luxembark.

His films have been broadcast worldwide by the BBC and PBS, and have been named Critics’ Picks by The New York Times. His newly completed film, Echoes Of The Empire—Beyond Genghis Khan, is now available on numerous streaming platforms.
Jonathan Miller’s work as a journalist and communications specialist has taken him to more than 20 countries in Asia, Latin America, Africa, Europe, and the Pacific. His reports have been broadcast on NPR, Marketplace, BBC, PBS NewsHour, and many other radio and television outlets.

Maddie Reynolds is the Outreach and Information Services Librarian with Cornell University Library and the Cornell Prison Education Program (CPEP). She is helping to plan and implement a library research and information literacy program as part of a non-traditional bachelor’s degree at Cayuga Correctional Facility.

I’m a professor in the Classics department, where I teach and research about ancient Greek and Roman science and technology like medicine, mathematics, astronomy, and mechanics. Right now I am writing a book about the cognitive science of ancient scientific practices, and looking forward to teaching my new classes this year.

Gemma Rodrigues is the Ames Director of Education and Curator of the Global Arts of Africa at the Johnson Museum of Art, where she oversees campus, pre-K-12, and public programs as well as curatorial research into African art. She was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe and has since lived and worked on three continents as a curator, educator, and arts administrator.

Hi! My name is Rouzbeh, and I grew up in the Los Angeles area. I am earning a PhD in Human Behavior and Design, and my research focuses on how the physical environment influences wellbeing. I tackle specific questions on how sustainable land-use development can mitigate climate risk and positively influence human health/wellbeing over the life course.
